Traveling to Guilin
Last summer vacation, I had an unforgettable trip to Guilin, a picturesque city located in southern China. Surrounded by Karst mountains and famous for its stunning landscapes, Guilin has always been a dream destination for many travelers, including myself.
The journey began with a long flight to Guilin. Upon arriving, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking scenery. The Li River, with its crystal-clear water and lush green mountains, seemed like a painting come to life. I couldn't resist taking countless photos to capture the beauty of nature.
One of the highlights of my trip was a boat ride along the Li River. As the boat glided through the water, the scenery changed constantly, revealing new surprises at every turn. The famous Elephant Trunk Hill, resembling an elephant drinking water from the river, was a sight to behold. The Reed Flute Cave, with its magnificent stalactite and stalagmite formations, left me in awe of nature's wonders.
Aside from the natural beauty, Guilin also has a rich cultural heritage. I visited the ancient town of Yangshuo, where traditional architecture and local customs are well-preserved. I had the opportunity to try traditional Chinese calligraphy and taste the local cuisine, which included delicious rice noodles and flavorful dishes made with fresh river fish.
The trip to Guilin was not only about sightseeing, but also about immersing myself in the local culture. I had the chance to interact with friendly locals, who shared stories and legends about the city's history. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel at home in this unfamiliar place.
