时间过得飞快，不知不觉中，暑假的时间已经过去一半。就在这个月的最后一周，发生了许许多多的新鲜事儿，我挑其中最重要的几件来给大家介绍介绍。

第一件事就是，我妈妈在暑假的第二个星期给我妹妹买了一只小乌龟。本想想让妹妹带走的，可是没想到送妹妹走时居然忘了这件事。妹妹没有带走乌龟，我们后来也忘记了这件事。有一天，姥姥来到了我们家，意外地发现了孤独地躲在角落里的乌龟。乌龟比刚买回来时瘦了许多，姥姥看了，便给了它一些饭粒。它不知是饿了，还是其它原因，立即狼吞虎咽地吃了起来。但从它的吃相上来看，它还是不大喜欢这样的伙食。

这周星期二，妈妈在一个养过乌龟的'同事那里听说乌龟最喜欢吃肉食。妈妈便趁每次买肉的机会，向肉铺的老板要了一些剩余的肉，每天都要给乌龟放一些。一次偶然的机会，一只大蟑螂掉进了乌龟的“居所”里。只见乌龟看见了大蟑螂，一口就咬了下去，把蟑螂吃了个一干二净。我们看了这一幕以后，便开始给乌龟捉蟑螂，每次蟑螂一掉进了水盆里，都会被它吃得片甲不留。

第二件事就是，放假前，老师给我们布置了一项社会实践活动，要我们去小区里做一次义工。这个星期四，碰巧发现小区物业管理公司的几名工作人员在我们的楼下除草。我就趁此机会，去帮助他们除草、打扫卫生。一位正在打扫卫生的老爷爷看见了忙得不亦乐乎的我，说：“小孩子懂什么，别来捣乱！”我听了，极不服气，小孩子怎么了，小孩子就不能干活了，我便拼命地干了起来。后来，我为了逞能，抱起了一大堆杂草。没想到草里还隐藏有许多长满了刺的树枝，把我刺了个正着。再看看我的腿，也是被树丛里非常锋利的小枝划满了小口子。现在我才知道了除草工人为什么要在炎热的夏季里穿长裤工作了。不知不觉中，一个小时过去了，我已经筋疲力尽了。通过这次难忘的体验，我了解到以前我们看起来很简单的事，想真正去做时，才能发现，实际上是非常辛苦的。通过这次难得的社会实践，我还了解到了许多书本上学不到的知识。同时，小区里的道路经过了我们的打扫，变得干净了许多，我每次路过这里，都感觉空气是那么得清新，花儿是那么得美丽。看着周围的一草一木，我不禁会发出感叹：“这儿实在是太美了！”。
