Autumn Poems
The Leaves Are Green
The leaves are green, the nuts are brown,
They hang as high they won't come down,
Leave them alone till frosty weather,
Then they will all come down together.
The Lost Love
By William Wordsworth
She dwelt among the untrodden ways
Beside the springs of Dove;
A maid whom there were none to praise,
And very few to love:
A violet by a mossy stone
Half hidden from the eye!
---Fair as a star, when only one
Is shining in the sky.
She lived unknown, and few could know
When Lucy ceased to be;
But she is in her grave, and oh,
The difference to me!
Ode
The Rainbow comes and goes,
And lovely is the Rose,
The Moon doth with delight
Look round her when the heavens are bare,
Waters on a starry night
Are beautiful and fair.
The sunshine is a glorious birth.
But yet I know, where er I go,
That there hath past away a glory from the earth.
（译自 "Ode" by William Wordsworth from "Immortal Poems of English Language" ）
