As a middle school student, writing a weekly journal in English is an effective way to improve my language skills and reflect on my daily life. This week, I have had some interesting experiences that I would like to share.

Monday

On Monday, I had a math test. I studied hard for it and felt confident about my performance. However, when I got the test back, I realized that I made a silly mistake on one of the problems. I was disappointed in myself, but I learned that I need to be more careful when taking tests.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I participated in a school debate. The topic was whether or not students should be allowed to use cell phones in class. I was on the side that argued against cell phone use. It was challenging to come up with persuasive arguments, but I enjoyed the experience and learned a lot about public speaking.

Wednesday

Wednesday was a busy day for me. After school, I had soccer practice. We worked on our passing and shooting skills. Then, I went to my English tutor for a lesson. We practiced reading comprehension and vocabulary. By the time I got home, I was exhausted but proud of myself for staying focused all day.

Thursday

On Thursday, I had a science project due. My partner and I worked on it for several weeks. We did an experiment on the effects of temperature on plant growth. We presented our findings to the class and received positive feedback from our teacher and clas**ates.

Friday

Friday was a fun day because it was the last day of the school week. In English class, we watched a movie and discussed the themes and characters. Then, I hung out with my friends after school. We went to the mall and played video games.

Overall, this week was filled with ups and downs, but I learned a lot from each experience. I am looking forward to next week and all the new challenges and opportunities it will bring.
